Back to the Beginning is a weekly reading and reflection project on the U.S. Constitution. Over the next ~34 weeks, we’ll be reintroducing our founding document to you in bite-size chunks. Then we’ll invite you to answer a couple survey questions about what you read. It’s inspired by this idea.

Preamble to the U.S. Constitution

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
